Ways You Can Volunteer

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Hill House Hospice. They provide comfort, compassion and companionship to our residents while offering support to families and caregivers throughout the end-of-life journey. Their generosity helps create a warm, welcoming environment where every person is treated with dignity and respect.

We are looking for compassionate and dependable individuals to join our volunteer team in one or more rewarding volunteer roles: House Volunteer, House Maintenance Volunteer, Community Ambassador Volunteer and Student Ambassador Volunteer.

APPLICATION PROCESS

After reviewing the volunteer role descriptions, please complete the Volunteer Application Form below and email it to Joanne Giannakopoulos, Director of Development, at joannegiannakopoulos@hillhousehospice.com

The volunteer application process includes:

1. Application review

2. Interview and reference check

3. Placement

4. Review and signing of volunteer policies and agreements

5. Completion of required orientation and training (Hospice care, AODA, etc.)

6. Role-specific training and buddy assignment

7. Start of shifts
