Hill House Hospice is currently recruiting persons to serve as voluntary directors on its Board. The Board of Directors is accountable to the community and funders for Hill House Hospice’s performance and strategic objectives, as well as for the effective stewardship of financial and human resources. The Board is looking to navigate opportunities that will increase Hill House Hospice’s bed capacity and cultivate a robust integrated palliative care system in York Region.
Collectively the Board will reflect the broad diversity of the community as well as a diverse mix of experiences, skills, backgrounds and perspectives. In addition to having knowledge of the community, a commitment to the Hill House
Hospice mission and previous board governance experience, the Board is seeking prospective directors with capital development and capital campaign expertise.
If you have a passion for palliative care, the requisite qualifications, and a time commitment of ten hours a month, we would be interested in hearing from you.
Volunteers play a core role in helping support in caring for the dying as well as supporting the operations of our hospice.

Help support Hill House operations along with the residents and their families that stay here.
In 2020 our volunteers dedicated over 865 hours to Hill House. Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for volunteers who love to fundraise, help run and promote events, help bake and of course help support our residents and families at the House.
We are looking for individuals that can volunteer from 1 to 4 hours a week and we are looking for a one-year minimum commitment.
